Getting better at Adobe Illustrator to get better at InDesign
During the first semester of my senior year I took graphic design as an elective in order to gain further experience as a designer. Not only did this help me figure the ins and outs of Illustrator, but it was a huge asset for all Adobe products, which our publication utilizes relatively frequently. Additionally, it reinforced basic visual hierarchy principles and enlightened me to the power of well-organized geometric designs (and the pen tool), so that when making graphics for newspaper, I wasn't lost anymore.
