Ann Arbor pro-Palestinians protest for peace
On May 22, I attended the pro-Palestinian protests in downtown Ann Arbor and later chose to write about the event and the overarching issue. Throughout the process, I learned how to overcome a lack of proximity, and lead people to understand the roots of the extended conflict between Israel and Palestine, even though it was taking place thousands of miles away. To do so, I integrated a powerful interview with a second-generation Palestinian, Adam Kasham, and presented concise but meaningful research on the issue. Download text only below

Student council teams up with admin
Dialogue between students and administration is essential, but for some reason at Huron, it wasn’t occurring. That was until the student council’s revival, so I talked to the two co-presidents about how they ensured this essential communication took place.

All Huron HOSA members qualify for states despite not attending regionals
On Huron’s finals week, Huron HOSA (Health Occupational Students of America) learned that all members were given a free ticket to compete in the state conference despite regionals being canceled due to extreme weather. In my fourth-hour newspaper class, I pulled in Huron HOSA director Lynn Boland and junior officer Divija Chanduptala and completed the brief by the end of the class hour. Fortunately, the club was able to attend States, one week before the rapid onset of COVID-19. Click image for online article. |
